Gainesville Dev Academy, a local software coding bootcamp that trains people to become professional web and mobile software developers, partnered with Cade Museum of Inventivity and Creativity to offer a coding Sumer camp for children between ages 8 and 14. The camp inspires children to get involved in learning about software development by offering engaging classes in coding in HTML, Python, Scratch, Game development/design, etc combined with other activities programmed by Cade Museum such as building Japanese lanterns, making tie-dye shirts, etc.
The summer program needed computers to outfit 25 children per week. James Judkins Foundation was able to help in sponsoring the purchase of chrome books to help this endeavor. James Judkins Foundations strives to be a part of making a better community by providing resources where needed.
